The Long Road to Santa Fe

In April 2009, I met John Wayne Haynes as he closed out a nearly seven-month journey on horseback from Michigan to New Mexico. A year later, I met him again to commemorate it, John riding 25 miles from his new home at Broken Saddle Ranch into the heart of Santa Fe.

Down On Main

The annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally takes place in August, transforming Sturgis from a quiet Black Hills town into a roaring epicenter of bikes, culture, and pilgrimage. Over five years on Main Street, I documented the engines, the people, and the raw pulse of a subculture that refuses to fade.
