Road Tales
Road Tales is a collection of travel stories by Joe Rogers, shaped by music, memories, mystery, and miles spent on some of America’s most iconic highways. Armed with a camera, a notebook, and a sense of curiosity for what lay ahead, each journey unfolds into a series of moments that gradually reveal what Joe was searching for all along: connection, insight, and the simple act of doing what he loves most.
Originally published between 2018 and 2022, each story has been expanded with fresh reflections and never-before-seen photographs. Together, Joe’s recollections of his experiences and the incredible people he met offer an authentic portrait of his time on the road.
Postcards From The Mother Road
In 2019, photographer and writer Joe Rogers set out to drive the length of Route 66. Postcards From the Mother Road is the result of that journey, and a tribute to the people, towns, diners, motels, and roadside landmarks that continue to give Route 66 its soul—as well as those that have faded, vanished, and exist now only in memory.
Joe's images and words function as postcards from the road: memories of his journey and, above all, an invitation to slow down, look closer, and take their own journey along the legendary Mother Road.
